This semester abroad program includes formal classroom training, rigorous field study, and practical application for each of the following courses:

Natural History of Costa Rica - 4 hours

Tropical Ecology - 4 hours

Biodiversity and Conservation - 4 hours

Spanish (Beginning or Intermediate) - 4 hours

All courses, except Spanish, will be taught in English. The Spanish course will be intensive and combined with the family home-stay, will provide the students with the language proficiency to communicate effectively.
