The program cost for each semester of studies in Costa Rica includes the following:

• tuition
• field excursions
• home stay
• all meals (except lunch) while in San Jose
• textbooks & materials
• health & liability insurance
• academic & social directors

Airfare is not included in the price. If there are 10 or more students leaving from any one location or conecting to San Jose on the same flight then we will negociate the best possible price and pass the savings on to the students. If this can not be done, good prices can be obtained through STA 1-800-777-0112.

Medical Insurance

The University of Costa Rica and World Class Adventures in Education will provide two types of medical insurance for each student . The first insurance program is covered by the Costa Rican Social Medicine system and it includes any medical expense at any public clinic or hospital within the country. Costa Rica has one of the best socialized medicine systems of the Americas. The second insurance program is covered by the Reliance National Insurance Company and it is specially made for US students studying abroad. This last insurance program will cover expenses at private hospitals or clinics. There is a deductible of $50 per visit. After the completion of the program, Students will be billed for any expenses paid by the program and not covered by the insurance.
